Our History & Goal
DicePay Ltd. (“DICE” or the “Company”) is a currency exchange and funds transmission company.
DICE was incorporated in Ontario on December 21, 2022, and registered with the Financial Transactions and Reporting Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) as a MSB on April 13, 2023. DICE’s MSB registration number is M23200121. DicePay will offer fund transmission services and currency exchange services.
Our story started with a simple question
Why is sending money home so expensive and complicated?
In 2022, our founder Akum Stone Wenjeri was trying to send money to his mother in Cameroon. After comparing options, he realized he'd lose $47 in fees and poor exchange rates on a $500 transfer. That's nearly 10% – money that should have gone to his family.
He wasn't alone. Millions of Canadians from African communities face the same problem every month. High fees, hidden charges, slow transfers, and confusing processes.
We knew there had to be a better way.
So we built it. Dice Empire FX was created to serve the African diaspora community with the respect, transparency, and affordability they deserve. We're not just another fintech company – we're a bridge connecting families across continents.
Today, we've helped over 50,000 Canadians send more than $5 million home to their loved ones. Every transfer means a child's school fees paid, a medical bill covered, or a family business supported.
